Privacy Policy

ReelReady (available at https://www.reelready.xyz) is an AI coach that helps creators score their short videos for virality and improve them before posting. The service is operated by José Manuel Pereira de Almeida (NIF 215 012 267), a sole trader based in Portugal. In this policy, “ReelReady”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to this operator, who, for the purposes of the EU and UK GDPR, is the data controller of the personal data described here.

This policy explains what we collect, why, the legal bases we rely on, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have.

To run the coaching service, we collect:

• Account email. We use passwordless magic-link sign-in, so we store the email address you sign in with.
• Videos and thumbnails you upload for scoring.
• Audio transcripts generated from those videos.
• AI-generated scores and feedback produced for each attempt, along with your progress over time.
• Plan and usage data, such as your current plan and how many videos you have analyzed.
• Basic technical and log data, such as your IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps, used for security and reliability.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases (in brackets) for each use:

• To provide the coaching service and score your practice videos (performance of our contract with you).
• To store your attempts and track your progress over time (performance of our contract).
• To maintain, secure, debug, and improve the product (our legitimate interests in running a safe, reliable service).
• To send you sign-in links and essential account notices (performance of our contract).
• To send optional product or marketing email, where applicable (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms (legal obligation and legitimate interests).

We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. We rely on a small set of vetted service providers (sub-processors) who process data only on our instructions and only to operate ReelReady. Your videos are sent to these providers solely to produce your feedback:

• Supabase: authentication, database, and private video storage.
• Deepgram: audio transcription of your videos.
• OpenRouter: large language model vision and text analysis that scores your videos.
• Vercel: application hosting, content delivery, and privacy-friendly (cookieless) website analytics.
• Resend: delivery of sign-in and account emails.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of ReelReady and its users.

Some of our service providers are located in the United States and other countries, so your information may be transferred to and processed outside your home country, including outside the EEA/UK. Where we make such transfers, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your data.

We keep your videos, transcripts, scores, and related data for as long as your account is active, so the service can show your history and progress. You can ask us to delete a specific take or your entire account at any time by emailing reelready057@gmail.com or using our contact page; we will delete the data (including the underlying video files) within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations (for example, billing records).

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. We do not sell or share your personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through our contact page. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law (for example, within 30 days under the GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To understand how the site is used and how it performs, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Both are cookieless and privacy-friendly: they store nothing on your device, do not track you across other sites, and collect only aggregate, anonymised data (such as page views, referring sites, and general device and country information) that we cannot use to identify you. The only cookies we set are the essential ones that keep you signed in (your Supabase session). We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so no cookie-consent banner is needed.

ReelReady is not intended for children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We protect your data with encryption in transit and store videos in private storage that is not publicly accessible. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy from time to time, and we review it at least once a year. When we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or within the app.
